About me
Hi, I’m Shirley — an ML engineer currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Originally from Suzhou, China, I moved to Toronto at 16 and later graduated from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Computer Science. After graduation, I moved to San Francisco — where I’ve been building stuff I love and slowly making it my home. These days, I work on computer vision models that help machines interpret images, recognize patterns, and power visual shopping.
Outside of work, I’m either hiking a trail, playing music, planning my next trip, deep in a book, or rambling in this corner of the internet. I usually write in English when it’s techy, and in Chinese when it’s everything else 🙂
